This exquisite selection of belcanto arias from the operas of the beginning of the XIX century is presented in an elegant edition with booklet notes written by Giancarlo Landini.
Rare arias for baritone of Mercadante, Coccia, Generali, Donizetti, Balducci, Marliani, Bellini, and Balfe constitute a precious collection that will delight the true opera connoisseurs.
Orchestra “Virtuosi Brunensis” and “Camerata Bach Choir” are conducted by the belcanto specialist José Miguel Pérez-Sierra. The album is recorded in collaboration with SWR radio and captures the vibrant emotions of a live concert.
